Question
Hi, first of all I'd like to say this site is amazing. I'm looking for this one song, I take it it's from the 80's, very famous. The problem is, I only have a couple of words from the chorus that I remember, and these are "Yes I love you... (short break) oooh ooooh I love you", and it goes from lower to higher notes ending with a guitar solo. It's very famous, it's from a male artist but I can't possibly describe it more accurately. If you know what song I'm talking about, that'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot

Answer
Hmmmm, this is tricky.  The lyrics "I love you" aren't exactly rare, are they? :)  I think I will need a bit more to go on to answer your question.  Is the song a slow song or something more uptempo?  Was the chorus sung as a solo voice or are there harmonies with it?

When I see "Ooooh I love you" my first instinct is the tender ballad, "I Love You" by the Climax Blues Band.  Check that out and see if it might be what you're looking for.  If not, I'd love some additional information if you can provide any, and we'll see where that takes us.

Hope that helps!

I was a DJ in the 80's, both on and off the radio. My expertise is Top 40, but I also enjoy metal and new wave from the era.
