80s Music/I know the title, but who sings it?

Question
I believe the song came out in the early 80's, definitely rock, possibly long-hair band.  I'm pretty sure it's called 'Don't you know what love is'?  First line starts out, "Momma says it's a bitch to recognize it..."  and then something about the 'falling rain' and 'why would momma lie'...Then it goes back to the chorus, "Giiiiiiiiiirl, don't you know what love is?  ohhhhhhhhooohhhooohhoh.  I could be the one".

Thanks for the help.  One more question to follow.

Answer
Dear Pat,

I can't find the song with the clues you gave. I don't think it is the right title. I can't recognize it just by the lyrics you gave. Give me a longer lyrics of the song, if possible a whole stanza of it.

I will wait for your mail again.

Maraming salamat po!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
