The lyrics you gave as clue is kinda confusing. There are lot of songs that sounds the same, lyrics-wise. However, it points me to the song IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU by YVONNE ELLIMAN from the 1978 movie SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. Then it was remade by LFO in 1998, funk style. I could be wrong as you didn't include how the song was sung or if it's a male or female singer. Check it out:
