You're probably talking about, well, TALKING HEADS, the 80s new wave group fronted by DAVID BYRNE, whose biggest hit is the 1986 song WILD WILD LIFE (Hot 100, #25, December 6, 1986). As for its cousin band, I don't know if you meant spin-off group. There is a spin-off group of the band and they're called the TOM TOM CLUB formed by TALKING HEADS mainstays CHRIS FRANTZ & TINA WEYMOUTH. But they don't have a song called SUBWAY. The nearest group I found with a song called SUBWAY who are from Washington D.C. is a group called THE WANT whose members are guitarist BOB STEWART, bassist JACK STANTON, and drummer DAMIAN BANASZAK. They released two CD's (like you said), TOO MUCH STUFF in 1995 which contains SUBWAY and TEXAS in 1998. I just don't know if they have some kind of connection with DAVID BYRNE or TALKING HEADS.
