Question
Hey, Bong..

there's this song by a male artist titled “You and Me” (i think).. probably in 1981 or 1982 or 1983.. i guess, it was a contemporary of “This Time I Know It's Real” by Norman Saleet..

another one is also a song by a male artist or a band with a male vocalist that was played in the hot hits FM stations in Manila in 1984 or 1985 or 1986 somewhat contemporary of Michael MacDonald’s “No Lookin’ Back” with lyrics that goes.. “how much longer must we wait..”

last is a song by a a bit jazzy song by a female artist with a few lines i somehow recall.. "just for you, i'll climb the highest mountain.. just for you, i'll swim across the sea.. just for you, i'll build a monument.."

just wanna know where I can possibly download the songs..

thanks in advance..

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Answer
Dear John,

Before anything else, allow me to greet you also a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

I got a bit confused with your first song coz I have two titles in mind. It's either YOU AND ME by DOUG PHILLIPS (a favorite here) or YOU AND ME (WE WANTED IT ALL) by the late PETER ALLEN. Both came from the era you mentioned, 1983. But I have a feeling it's the DOUG PHILLIPS song which includes this line "Day after day, you have shown me the way"...

As for your song No. 2, sorry but I'm not able to identify it as there's lot of songs I know that also contain those lines.

Meanwhile your last song would be JUST FOR YOU by the late GWEN GUTHRIE from her 1985 album JUST FOR YOU.

Just e-mail me at bong_santos_jbl11@yahoo.com if you want mp3 files of the songs.

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
