80s Music/no more i love you's

Questioni thank you once again for the speedy reply to my query about no more i love you's by the lover speaks and the cover song by annie lennox.
for some reason i had the song confused with return to innocence by enya. the beat of the opening of return to innocence (where the native american indian sounding voice was chanting) seemed to be the same as the opening of no more i love you's (both the original and annie lennox version). but i was thinking that maybe someone really did a mix of these two songs which would explain why i thought the two songs were one and the same.
can you verify this for me please? let me know if someone did a mix of no more i love you's and return to innocence. thanks!

-----Question-----
i heard a version of "no more i love you's" where the singer seemed like a native american indian. can you tell me the title of this version and who the singer was? thanks.
-----Answer-----
Dear Henry,
You're probably talking about the original version of NO MORE "I LOVE YOUS" by the almost forgotten British New Wave band THE LOVER SPEAKS. Comprised of DAVID FREEMAN (vocals) and JOSEPH HUGHES (arranger)and JUNE MILES KINGSTONE (back-up vocals). It was included on their 1986 debut album LOVER SPEAKS hitting #58 in the UK Chart. In 1995, EURYTHMICS' ANNIE LENNOX did a cover version for her album MEDUSA and took it to #23 on the Hot 100 Chart on May 27, 1995.

AnswerDear Henry,
I don't think there's a remix version of the two songs. Or at least none that I know. But I'd like to believe that since RETURN TO INNOCENCE's intro were actually Native Taiwanese chants, different from the intro of NO MORE I LOVE YOUS. The RETURN intro was an actual sample of JUBILANT DRINKING SONG written and sung by KUO YING-NAN and KUO HSIU-CHU. MICHAEL CRETU, ENIGMA's producer obtained a CD of the song and proceeded to sample it without the singers' permission, eventually leading to being sued by the KUO couple. In addition, the drum beat of the song was sampled from LED ZEPPELIN's WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS. The KUOs won the lawsuit and I don't think anyone would ever try to use it again for a different recording of the song.
