FOOLED AROUND AND FELL IN LOVE was done by ELVIN BISHOP, an American blues and rock and roll musician from Glendale, California. He used to be with the band called THE BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND, fronted by PAUL BUTTERFIELD whom he met in 1963. He went solo in 1968 and formed his own group.  In 1976, he recorded FOOLED AROUND AND FELL IN LOVE from his album STRUTTIN' MY STUFF and took it to #3 on the Hot 100 Chart on May 22, 1976.
