Dear Sandra,
Could be AMAZULU who in 1986 recorded a remake of BOBBY BLOOM's #8 hit in 1970, MONTEGO BAY. A track off the AMAZULU album, their own version was a minor hit back in 1987, peaking at #90 on the Hot 100 on August 8, 1987.
