Question
Hello Bong! It's me again. Would you happen to know this old song - "It's only love but it's too much for  me to bear". Slow senti song. Sorry that's all I can remember, male singer.

Salamat in advance!

Rose

Answer
Dear Rose,

Pilipina ka nga!

Well, what do you know? I never imagined I will be answering a question like this.

Sounds like IT'S ONLY LOVE by JUNIOR. I don't know how old you are but if you are 35 or above, you would probably know him. JUNIOR is one of the first Latin-American artists who captured our Filipino hearts back in the 70's and 80's. Remember MENUDO with a young RICKY MARTIN blowing us kisses (Mwaah! Mwaah!). JUNIOR is ANTONIO MORALES BARRETTO, JR. in real life, he is actually a Spaniard. He released a self-titled blockbuster album back in 1977 from where IT'S ONLY LOVE came from together with another tearjerker, BUT IF YOU LEAVE ME. JUNIOR frequented the Philippines to do concerts and even a movie with Vilma Santos, YAKAP, again another hit which he recorded locally, recently remade by LA LOPEZ back in 2002. JUNIOR's whereabouts are unknown as of this time. Let's end it singing IT'S ONLY LOVE...LA LA LA LA LA...LA LA LA LA. That's how it ends, right, with LA LA LAS.

Maraming salamat po!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
