for a film project were doing a movie about a student walking into a school, and something changes. that something is the girl walks into an 80's time warp workout video.  we are planning on having a modern day song playing before she walks into the school, and once she gets in, the origional 80's version of taht song will be playing... insde= origional up-beat 80'ssong, outside= rock type cover of the song.  thankss

I'm not updated with the latest songs that are remakes of 80's songs. But I suggest that if you want something recognizable, so that your audience (or your teachers) will not have a hard time feeling the song and you want to have an OPM touch, you may try any of the APO HIKING or ERASERHEADS songs on one of their tribute albums. Or if you want some foreign touch, why not try the latest AMERICAN IDOL album. All of their songs there are revivals of 70s to 80s songs. You may try WHAT ABOUT LOVE by MELISSA McGHEE, I'M EVERY WOMAN by MANDISA, WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE by CHRIS DAUGHTRY or FATHER FIGURE by ACE YOUNG all from that album, AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 5: ENCORES. Since you have a girl for your character, I suggest also MY PREROGATIVE by BRITNEY SPEARS, the original is by BOBBY BROWN.
