I happen to come across this topic regarding safire's song that goes "I'm thinking of you.." actually, I was browsing through google to find info bout the song, it's artist, lyrics and title. The song THINKING OF YOU was a Billboard Top 20 hit for freestyle artist SAFIRE. Her real name is WILMA COSME and was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was discovered in an audition for CUTTING RECORDS, her first label, paving the way for her to record DON'T BREAK MY HEART. It became an instant freestyle classic in 1986, as did the follow-up single LET ME BE THE ONE. Her early success led to a major record deal with Mercury Records who released her debut album SA-FIRE in 1988. From this album came THINKING OF YOU, her biggest crossover hit, peaking at No. 12 on the Hot 100 Chart on May 6, 1989. She released three more albums plus another song from the movie SHE-DEVIL (1990), a cover of I WILL SURVIVE but couldn't duplicate her past successes. SAFIRE continues to tour and play successful concert dates. As of 2007, she is currently producing and writing for other artists. Safire is poised to make her comeback because she will be releasing two singles this year and is currently putting the finishing touches on a dance album and a Latino rock album.
