I have been searching for an 80's song forever. It was in a Degrassi High episode. If you know degrassi, it's the episode where Heather has a crush on Wheels, and she has a party. It's the song right before Moonlight Desired by Gowan. Heather puts on a slow song and one of the girls says "ohh I love this song.." The beat is very catchy and kind of trance like. The words are very hard to make out. The best I can do is "..where I will be safe, waiting for the future, please come...in a bit too deep gonna make it... The rest trails off. I have honestly been trying to find this song forever, if you could be of any help I would really appreciate it.

First of all, I haven't watched any episode of DEGRASSI HIGH much as I haven't watched a thing of BEVERLY HILLS 90210. Not that I hate these shows but I'm not just into them. Unlike BH90210 though, DEGRASSI HIGH was unavailable here in the Philippines back then. It did not achieved the popularity that BH90210 generated among young fans. And since DEGRASSI HIGH doesn't have a soundtrack unlike BH90210, it's imposibble for me to know the songs from it. With BH90210, its having a soundtrack provides me infos regarding songs from that series even if I don't watch them. So I really have to answer your question based purely on researchs. I might give you an innacurate answer.

Let me give you first a detailed info of the episode, it is Season 4, Episode 7 (307), broadcast on December 12, 1989 titled JUST FRIENDS. The song could be another one by the artist known as GOWAN. GOWAN is LAWRENCE GOWAN, current lead singer of the group STYX. His songs were often used in the series among them MOONLIGHT DESIRES from his GREAT DIRTY WORLD (1987) album and BURNING TORCHES OF HOPE from his 1985 album STRANGE ANIMAL. Here is its lyrics.
