Dear Bong,
Only you could help me. I've been racking my brain trying to recollect the title of an 80s song with lyrics that go "It's like an earthquake <dyaran, dyaran>/Stirring my soul/It's like an earthquake <dyaran, dyaran>/Taking control/It's like an earthquake/This feeling inside/There's nowhere to run/There's nowhere to hide." I believe it was part of the soundtrack for an Aga Muhlach movie in the 1980s.

Hi! I believe another "kababayan" here who's exposing my age by asking questions from way back when when teeners were wearing stretchable denims and flipping their shirt's sleeves a la Hanes with matching colored paper clips to keep it in place. Ha ha ha ha! For goodness' sake, Aga Muhlach is close to being a grandfather from his lovechild by Janice de Belen.
Anyways, you're talking about EARTHQUAKE by THE FLIRTATIONS. They were an all-female group who recorded from the 60s through the late 80s. EARTHQUAKE was originally recorded by the group who at the time of the recording consisted of LORETTA NOBLE, ERNESTINE PEARCE & SHIRLEY PEARCE. It was remixed and released in a 12-inch mix that was a big hit in 1983, the version we heard in the movie BAGETS. It was written by IAN ANTHONY STEVENS. The song has always been mistaken to be sung by another hot disco artist of the 80s, HAZELL DEAN. We all remember her as another "contributor" to the movie BAGETS with her song SEARCHIN' (I'M LOOKIN' FOR LOVE). Another hit from her is HIGH ENERGY. Incidentally, the two songs are not in the BAGETS soundtrack, so as another song from that movie, JUST GOT LUCKY by JoBOXERS. Some of the songs in the soundtrack are GROWING UP by GARY VALENCIANO, WHY DON'T YOU CARE by HARNER (Twin brothers, the one is Jam Morales' husband), Telefone by Chona Cruz, Why Me  by Jo Khrishner, High School High by Spirit, SO IT'S YOU by RAYMOND LAUCHENGCO and many more. Unfortunately, Tonette, I don't have the lyrics of the song. But you seem to memorize it so I guess you don't need one.
