hi paul. there was a popular techno music called "estasi estano" by the group GOGA MAGOGA, which was a huge hit in pop radio stations in 1992. i'm not pretty sure if this is the one you're looking for, but taking from your clues i had a hunch because i remember partygoers go wild on the dance floor when they hear the drumrolls in the intro of the italian clubmix we play in a dance bar.
