Question
Hi Bong
I heard a song on the radio the other day, I know that the name of the song was called Gun Law. A real funky tune but I can't remember who sung it! It's really bugging me!!
I think that it's from the 80's
Hope you can help
Regards
Nigel

Answer
Dear Nigel,

There's actually two possible answers. But since you said it's kinda funky, you're probably looking for the one sung by THE KANE GANG. The other one is by THE OPPRESSED, a band led by RODDY MORENO, an advocate for racial unity in the skinhead and Oi! scenes. THE KANE GANG was, of course, a blue-eyed soul trio from the UK. They comprised of MARTIN BRAMMER (vocals), PAUL WOODS and DAVE BREWIS (multi-instrument) and best remembered for the US Top 40 hit MOTORTOWN (Hot 100, #36, December 19, 1987). GUN LAW was from their 1985 album LOWDOWN (released in the UK as BAD AND LOWDOWN WORLD OF THE KANE GANG).

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Experience

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
