I don't know if there is anyone who covered SWEAR other than the one I remember. SWEAR appeared on SHEENA EASTON's 1984 album A PRIVATE HEAVEN. A minor hit for her peaking at #80 on the Hot 100 Chart on April 6, 1985, not too many people are aware that its songwriter TIM SCOTT first recorded it in 1983 for his EP called SWEAR.
There's your answer, TIM SCOTT in 1983. In effect, SHEENA EASTON was the one who covered it in 1984.
