Hi again! im not sure if when this song came out but i thought you might be able to help me, the song goes "my sweet georgia i couldn't find a way to see you _ _ _  _ but i adore you _ _ _  so close and yet so far" its a male singer as far as i can remember. im not even sure about the lyrics either. thanks again anyways.

Could you be looking for FRANKIE VALLI's MY EYES ADORED YOU? I'm not sure but that's how it was like on the latter part of your lyrics. I don't know about the "sweet Georgia" part, it's not in the song. But I strongly feels MY EYES ADORED YOU is the song. It's from an album called CLOSEUP released in 1975. The artist FRANKIE VALLI used to be the lead vocalist for the 60's group THE FOUR SEASONS. MY EYES ADORED YOU went to No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 Chart on March 22, 1975. Here's how it goes:
