Question
Hi,
I read this in an article, about Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys: "Benny Andersson of ABBA has on many occasions described how he was influenced by Brian Wilson's productions and talent for creating great melodies. Many of ABBA's songs sounds like they have been produced in Brian Wilson-style."  Have you ever read about this in any articles or interviews? Or can you think of any songs that in your opinion sound like they might be influenced by the Beach Boys?  If not, can you tell me an ABBA song or two that have some good harmonies?

Thanks! I know that's a weird question.

Sara

Answer
Hello,

Yes , I know that Benny mentioned that in more than 1 interview.
I know a few songs that were influenced by the beach boys, HAPPY HAWAII and MOVE ON.
I hope you know the songs then you will know what I mean?
The harmonies are very good and sound a lot like beach boys.
I AM JUST A GIRL is a song that most abba fans don't like but I do and it also has the beach boy feeling......

i hope this helps you?

bye from johnny
