Question How many copies did each Abba album sell worldwide? Thanks for your help!
Answer Hello Scott,
the first 3 albums, ABBA + WATERLOO + RING RING did not sell that much the first time they were released because ABBA wasn't that popular that time.
When they released ARRIVEL and the first big hits like DANCING QUEEN and FERNANDO reached number 1 in the charts then the albums sold millions.
From ARRIVEL on every album sold almost 15 million copies each, the album sales in eastern europa were almost all paid with oil (!) so not much money was involved.
When you count all the rereleases of the albums on cd then each album sold more than 45 million copies!
ABBA GOLD was sold almost 110 million times all over the world!
most albums are still selling very well so the figure is still growing!
