Question
im just wondering what the story behind the track "cold hearted man" is i know its only on the uk release of powerage but i read in a biography that after bon's death ac/dc don't really like that track, is this true?

Answer
hello there,

Powerage is the only album that has been remixed for different parts of the world!
The original version for the UK is without Rock N Roll damnation, because Phil Carson from Atlantic Records sended this song to Atlantic after the album was in prerelease. So they made an 12" and it worked! So the added this song for the other pressings... They also added Cold Hearted Man to the list... all the solo's off the songs were remixed for the Australian and New Zeeland version. Later when the Cd was made, they took the original mixing from the Germany Cd... But there is no special reason in it;... Just like it just happened that the 4 track mini LP never came out : recorded at the Vineyard Studios in early september 1976: 3 songs came out later: Love at First Feel, Carry me home and Dirty Eyes (whole lotta rosie later).
The band also recorden "I'm a rebel" song by Alex Young, who was living in Hamburg . Georges Young produced the song, but never released it. the song has been covered by Accept (German Group). The Mashener Studios still own the original Ac/Dc recording, but don't want te release it anyway....
I hope this info helps you a little ;...
But remember, Angus or Mal never talk about 'things' related to Bon's death... that's the way it is. the only time was during 'Ride On' in Paris: Brian said: this one's for Bon....
