Question
Dear Bill V.

Around 1975 /76 AC/DC (with some other bands)toured country Victoria, Australia.  They played in my home town of Castlemaine and the local football ground.  I was fortunate enough to be allowed to sit on stage while AC/DC played, truly mind blowing for a country boy of 7.  After the concert, because my father was on the footy club committee, I was allowed into the change rooms where I got to sit with, talk to, but mainly just watch Bon, Angus and the boys.

I still have my full set of personalised (to CJ, some with messages) autographs from that day.  They have been well kept and are in very good condition.  The paper is ordinary lined (lightly) note paper of the time (approx 10cm x5cm).

Are they worth much + should I have them insured?

Hello CJ,

Thank you for your question. A personalized autographed page from 1975-6 of all the original AC/DC members would certainly have a value. I would estimate that something of this nature could be worth in excess of $600, and the personal value of it would make it even greater.

I have been a fan and collector of AC/DC for 30+ years and have written published articles about the band for Goldmine magazine, as well as several publications. I have interviewed past members of the band, and attended the bands Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction as a press guest. I possess one of the world's largest AC/DC collections, and plan to have my own publication about the band in the future. I was hired in 2008 by a marketing firm to help promote and market AC/DC's "BLACK ICE" release and the AC/DC "Rock Band" game in New York City. I also have participated in several other marketing and promotional campaigns for AC/DC. Most recently, I have contributed to a new book by Phil Sutcliffe "AC/DC: The Ultimate Illustrated History" as well as penning an AC/DC Collectibles article for Record Collector magazine (UK).
