Question Hi Bill,
I have an album signed by Bon Scott, Angus Young, Malcolm Young (I think) and Mark Evans in the late 70's, the album is Dirty Deeds. Ive had the album for about 25years. It has been in a frame for most of that time hanging on my wall, and now Ive noticed that the signatures have faded somewhat, so today I took the album out of the frame, hoping that this would stop the fading. I have been wanting to sell the album for sometime, but now I am worried that someone will say they are fake. What would be the best way to go about selling the album without people thinking the signatures are fake.
Thanks Sherrie
Answer Hello Sherrie,
Thank you for your question.
You can probably have the autograph authenticated by an expert autograph authenticator, such as AAMAA who specializes in this type of field, and uses state of the art technology such as ink and medium analysis, etc. to verify the authenticity of an item and signature.
