QuestionQUESTION: HI, I recently purchased a UK 7" - "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N' Roll) / Can I Sit Next To You Girl Atlantic K10745, 1976" - and upon inspection i have noticed the credits are printed incorrectly, instead of saying "Albert", it reads "Albeit", on both labels, just wondering if they all say this or was the mistake corrected, could this be rare?, many thanks in advance, Harry
ANSWER: hello there,
the release date of this single is April 2nd 1976 on Atlantic Label.
In all my books I can't find anything about an "error" on the credits...
so I think this is a great item.
Normaly it comes without picture sleeve / orange cover with atlantic logo / orange and white background / white atlantic logo...
label: green and orange with a white strip - Atlantic
center hole: small
matrix: K 10745 A1 + K 10745 B1

QUESTION: HI, many thanks for your quick reply, I have just found this, which shows the typo error.
http://www.45cat.com/record/k10745.
However, I have just picked up an original UK cartoon cover 12" LP, High Voltage, still containing the 1976 UK Tour dates insert. Upon inspection, this has a different label to my other UK "Cartoon cover" , which also has a typo error on the labels which says "ALBEIT". My latest copy has the error corrected "Albert". This album was corrected at some point, therefore there are at least 2 different labels on UK High Voltage LP, is it the same with this single, are there 2 label versions, i.e., one that has the typo corrected?
Many Thanks
Harry,
BTW the typo error on the single is different to the LP, they both say "Albeit", but the LP has a capital "I", and the single has a small "i", with the dot above the line. Little things I know, but these things are what keep my collection growing, thanks again.
Answerhello,
Sorry for the late answer.
I know that the albums has been reedited a few times. As now again on Epic label.
I never took the time to check mine... Some little details are hard to see. And yes, there is a correct version of the single aswell. I sold my whole 7" collection a few years ago, so I can't check this ones anymore. Now I only collect 12" vinyls and CD's..; and it's realy a lot of stuff....
