Question
I saw on wikipedia.com there's several unreleased AC/DC songs from recording sessions that ain't been released. Such as...

"Tightrope"
"Out Of Bounds" from Flick Of The Switch sessions,

"Hard On" from Blow Up Your Video sessions,

"Rave On"
"Whistle Blower"
"The Cock Crows"
"Let It Go" from the Stiff Upper Lip sessions.

Will these songs ever be released as they seem to have been locked up in the Albert Productions Vaults for years, with no sign of a release. Thought they might have released those songs on the new 2009 "Backtracks Boxset" but no.. Wondered if you knew?

Thank you for your question.

There are numerous tracks that were never released, some never completed, which remain in the Alberts vaults and will do so until the band (if ever) sees fit to release them. The Young brothers are the decision makers as to what they release when it comes to AC/DC, so if they decide one day that some of the remaining demo and unreleased AC/DC material is fit for the public, perhaps it will then see the light of day. There are currently no short term plans by the band to release any of the other unreleased and/or unfinished tracks.

I have been a fan and collector of AC/DC for 30+ years and have written published articles about the band for Goldmine magazine, as well as several publications. I have interviewed past members of the band, and attended the bands Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction as a press guest. I possess one of the world's largest AC/DC collections, and plan to have my own publication about the band in the future. I was hired in 2008 by a marketing firm to help promote and market AC/DC's "BLACK ICE" release and the AC/DC "Rock Band" game in New York City. I also have participated in several other marketing and promotional campaigns for AC/DC. Most recently, I have contributed to a new book by Phil Sutcliffe "AC/DC: The Ultimate Illustrated History" as well as penning an AC/DC Collectibles article for Record Collector magazine (UK).
