Question
HI Bill,

I have just bought this LP,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V....ssPageName=STRK:MEBDIX:IT

and, as i purchased it, as what i think (and quite happy to buy) is a bootleg, i was quite surprised to open it today and see it has the Atlantic letter inside, but no postcard. It was not mentioned in the listing, but the letter is there! Do you know if any bootlegs had any fake letters also? On looking at the Matrix numbers, side A is not ST - LAAS-OO1-A, but appears to be ST- LASS-001-A, With an A scratched over the first "S". Also is a (PR)P and also CLARK FAVILLE 2-14-84 VRSSR 10- . The labels are both white with black printing.

As i have seen others for sale which say the matrix number is ST-LAAS-001, I'm quite happy to have bought this as a bootleg, but the letter has thrown me off.

Did any bootlegs come with this letter, and can you please tell me exactly what it is i have bought?
Thanks, from a very confused Bob

Answer
Hello Bob,

Thank you for your question.
The LP you purchased would definitely be a bootleg copy. Regarding whether a copy of the Atlantic letter was included with certain bootleg releases, this is quite possible, and similar things do occur often with bootleg manufacturers, so it would be my best guess that it is a reprint of the letter that was intentionally included with this LP.

Best Regards,

Bill
