Question
Hi Bill,

I am hoping you will be able to help me out or direct me in which way i need to go. I am looking for an authentic Bon Scott autograph as a thank you gift for my brother in law who helped me out HUGE!! He is a die hard AC/DC fan and i figured this would be one of the coolest thank you gifts that i could get him... So i mostly was hoping you could tell me, or direct me, where i might find one? If you know of people who would be willing to sell an extra they had? Or perhaps some memorabelia shops you trust. Stuff like that. I've read a lot of your posts and am weary of ebay, obviously, and you certainly seem to be an expert on the subject, so i wanted to ask you. Any information you can pass along would be greatly greatly appreciated. I really hope i be able to do this for my brother-in-law as i know he'd love it, i just don't know where to really even start... thank you so very much!!! matt

Answer
Hello Matt,

Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately, there are no guaranteed methods to finding an authentic Bon Scott autograph. A lot of good research is advised, and corresponding with AC/DC collectors and fans on the internet for good advice will help. There are a lot of fraudulent Bon Scott autographs being sold online, so it's best to be wary when buying autographed items, especially from dealers.
You can likely also search the All Experts site, as I have already answered numerous questions on this specific topic and provided links to good resources for researching autographs and debunking fake ones. Every so often, a real Bon autograph turns up for sale on auction sites such as Ebay, but for the most part, the majority of what ends up for sale that I have seen in the past have been fakes.
Good luck in your search!

Best Regards,

Bill
