Question
Hi Bill,

Hope you are well.  You answered a question for me about AC/DC in the past.  Thanks so much for the info.  I have a couple other questions maybe you can answer.

1)  July 4, 1979 AC/DC played at the Rockford Speedway in Rockford, Illinois with Cheap Trick, The Baby's and a couple of other bands.  Would you happen to know how many people attended that concert?

2)  Are Bon Scott's parents still alive?  Anyway to send them a note and tell them how much their son has positively impacted my life?

Thank you Bill!!!

Answer
Hello Linda,

Thank you for your questions.

The AC/DC show (they were support for Cheap Trick) in Illinois on July 4th, 1979 I'm fairly certain was a sold out event, and the capacity of the venue is 50,000.

In regards to Bon Scott's parents, Bon's mother is still alive and well, Isabelle (Isa) Scott. His father, Charles (Chick) Belford Scott passed away on December 16th, 1999 and is laid to rest near Bon's grave site in the Fremantle cemetery in Australia. Family members are very private and do not wish to be contacted, however Bon's mother (and the other members families alike) are all very aware of their fans admiration for them.

Best Regards,

Bill
