AC/DC/Bon Scott's autograph

Question
Bill,
I met AC/DC back in 1978 at Albert Productions recording studio in Sydney Australia when they were redording the album Powerage. I brought along my TNT and Dirty Deeds albums and had them sign the albums for me (I also have photos taken with the members of the band to prove that the signatures are authentic) The only autograph I don't have is of Cliff Williams as he was not in the studio on that day (Mark Evans and not long left the band at that time). My question is how much would you place a value on 2 albums autographed by Angus, Malcom, Phil Rudd and Bon Scott?
I don't want to sell these albums as they are sentimental to me but was just curious of their value in today's market.

Answer
hi Tony,
Thanks for your question, and very cool to hear you got to meet the band in 78, including Bon. Must have been a great experience!

There is a wide variable in autograph values these days, but in general, an authentic autographed Bon Scott piece can be valued anywhere from $150-$400, depending on what it is, the clarity of the signatures, and the condition of the item that is autographed. Also, taking into account any other band members signatures (ie. a complete band autographed album sleeve would fetch the most value), yours come very close, since you have all of the members with the exception of Cliff. Lastly, if you had any firm proof other than your own word, that would of course also increase the value dramatically (especially something such as a photo or photos of the band members signing the specific item at the time). So with all of those factors in mind, each of your albums could be worth anywhere from $275- $500 (each) to a collector on an auction, perhaps quite a bit more if you can provide solid proof of the authenticity.
