Question
Hi what is the exact year that the Bon Scott ERA. 7 LP box set with the red label released? How can i tell if the boxset is the real thing ? Are there any type of SERIAL ###( or anything else ) to go by? Also there is a small Smiley face sticker on the box itself, will it hurt the value?

Hi Farrell,
Thank you for your question. The AC/DC Australian box set reissue (the original issue from 1981 had dark labels) was released in 1987.
ACDC1 is the Albert catalog # used for this set, which is the same for the original.
Any stickers, writing, tears, stains or likewise will in fact decrease the value from an otherwise EX piece.

I possess one of the world's largest AC/DC collections, and plan to have my own publication about the band in the future. I was hired in 2008 by a marketing firm to help promote and market AC/DC's "BLACK ICE" release and the AC/DC "Rock Band" game in New York City. I also have participated in several other marketing and promotional campaigns for AC/DC. Most recently, I have contributed to a new book by Phil Sutcliffe "AC/DC: The Ultimate Illustrated History" as well as penning an AC/DC Collectibles article for Record Collector magazine (UK).
