Question
Hi,

I just want to know if you think this is ok

If I cleaned the carpet and floor with Dettol and wiped the toilet seat with Dettol wipes (My mam let the workman use the toilet) and I wiped the taps with anti bacterial wipes

Do you think that is clean enough?
Especially the toilet, should I clean it more?

Do you think if they did have AIDS that everything would have been cleaned enough?

Thanks

Answer
Dear Nicola:

Peace.  HIV is transmitted when sufficient blood, semen, or vaginal secretions containing the virus make contact with sores, broken skin or mucous membranes of another person.  I don't see any of these fluids present in what you describe, nor do I see any exposure.  While it's great that you cleaned up the place so nicely, I don't see any risk of HIV transmission.

Best to you and yours,

Terry
