Question
hi terry, i had unprotected sex 12 days ago. 5 days after that i had small bumps on my penis . these later turned to open sores.
also now i have a fever of 99.4 deg celsius which tends to turn on & off. the lymph nodes in right side of my groin region are enlarged.
i must mention that i have acute sinusitis also.
but i suspect that i am HIV infected due to these symptoms. if i get a p24 antigen test done after about 18 days of unprotected sex, will it give me a accurate result?
also should i get myself tested now.? cause i am having all these symptoms...

Dear Karan:

Peace.  Get yourself to a doctor as soon as possible and find out what is wrong.  It doesn't sound like HIV to me but your doctor can run the necessary tests and include antigen testing if he so desires.
