AnswerHi Mullani,
I have never heard of and do not expect HIV to be transmitted via fingernails. Unless she was heavily bleeding from a cut/wound on those fingers, there risks are very low to none.
I highly recommend that you use protection while engaging in sexual activities with prostitutes. A condom for handjobs to blowjobs. Better be safe than sorry.
I also highly recommend that you have a complete sexually transmitted infections (STI) screening, formerly known as sexually transmitted disease (STD), once every 3 months should you continue to be sexually active with more than one partner.
To ease your worries, you may want to request an HIV nucleic acid amplification testing (NAT/NAAT) from your physician. This test will give you a 99% accuracy if you were infected approximately two weeks from the date of the sexual activity.
