Question
hi kristen. i have 2 questions for u. que1:when is the earliest that i can get a reliable result for HIV test after a sexual intercourse ?

que 2: what are the initial symptoms of HIV infection and when after the infection do these develop ?

Answer
1. There is a 1-3 month window period with the HIV antibody test meaning that you need to test at least 3 months after possible exposure for a reliable result.

2. Some people experience flu-like symptoms around the time of infection but after that they typically do not have symptoms until years later.
