Subject: window period

Question
I have tested negative after 16 weeks of exposure(sodomy). Can I rely this result? Do I want to test again after 6 months? What is the possibility of getting infected through sodomy? Plese answer me

Answer
Unprotected anal sex carries the most risk out of the different sexual acts.

The window period is generally 1-3 months...only a very small number of people take up to six months to produce detectable antibodies. It's up to you whether you feel comfortable with testing before 6 months.
