Should i get on PEP first thing tom morning. do i need a HIV test for this incident. What are odds of being safe? Please help sir,. Please, god bless u."

Answer
Dear Mousam:

Peace.  HIV is transmitted by exposure to the blood, vaginal secretions, semen, or in some cases, breast milk of an infected person.  The chances of an exposure becoming an infection increase or decrease based on how much of the fluids, how long exposed, and a number of other factors.

In nothing you describe do I see any risk of HIV transmission as you were not exposed to the above-mentioned fluids.  I do not, therefore, see any reason to be tested, except to know what your HIV status was prior to this incident, and in that case, an antibody test would be sufficient.

Again, peace and all good things to you and yours,

Terry
