Question
Hello, Approx 2 weeks ago I visited a sex worker in Amsterdam, whilst drunk. As soon as I entered she put a condom on me.I recieved oral sex for 5 minutes and then I masturbated into the condom whilst she touched my testicles.I then took the condom off and put it in the bin. There was no kissing or contact with her vagina. There was no visable blood from what I could see.Shortly afterwards I ate a sandwich without washing my hands. Am I at risk from HIV from this encounter? My friends say no but I'm worried. Thanks C.

Answer
Dear Colin:

Peace.  I agree with your friends.  If you'd no contact with her blood, vaginal secretions, or the semen of others, you're not exposed to the fluids that transmit HIV.  What I might suggest is that you go to www.avert.org or www.thebody.com and read up a bit on what places you at risk, and how to better protect yourself and your partner.

Best to you and yours,

Terry
