Question
QUESTION: hi im so scared if i have aids now because what happen is i
was drunk one night and my friend called some gay person
and gave me a bj then he made me stick my penis in his ass.
but i only inserted my penus ones then i pulled it out
straight away ... will i get hiv from it ? thx

ANSWER: Dear Joe M:

Peace.  While you have some risk here a couple of things work in your favor.  One, your frequency of significant exposure is once.  Two, you were insertive - you didn't receive his fluids into your body.  So the duration of your exposure is short.  Third, we'll assume you don't have lesions/sores on your penis or another sexually transmitted disease that would make you more susceptible.  So while you have some risk, it is not the highest, and you don't know that the person with whom you did this was infected.

So, protect yourself and others from semen, vaginal secretions, or blood for six weeks from the incident and be counseled and tested.  That should give you reliable results.  Receiving oral sex as you described is low risk.

I hope this helps.

QUESTION: thx very much it made be feel alot better..
well it was 9 month ago when i went for a holiday...
thats right i dint even know that person. im only 15 and i
live in the uk. am i legal to get checked? ive learned alot
of lesson here

Answer
Dear Joe:

Peace.  Go to www.avert.org - which I think is a UK site - and read up some more on transmission and what resources might be local.  And check your phone directory.  There should be an ad for anonymous HIV testing.  A test of your blood is the only way to know your status, and discussing this with someone face to face will help.   Your age and the 'legality' issues are less important than your health right now.  Good information will keep you and your loved ones safer for years to come.

Thanks for asking, go with some haste to get the peace of mind that comes with good information.
