AIDS/I'm scared!

Question
I'm not gay, but I don't know why I fell in love with my friend! He loves me too.
I'm 17, I hadn't sex any more and he hadn't too.
We french-kissed or (deep kissed) so many times (as any two lovers)
He once told me that he THINKS that his dad has a relationship with another woman; and he once shaved by his dad's shaving machine.
That's when my fears began, I'm afraid that his dad has AIDS (it's just a thought) and my friend got it through the shaving machine and I got it throught kissing him.
I don't know why I'm afraid, I didn't tell him about anything, but I'm really scared. maybe 'cause it's the first time for me to be in love or...
So do you think that I might get AIDS? or it's jsut illusion!
I wish you could realize me well!

Answer
Unless your friend is having sex with his Dad, he has not contracted anything sexually transmitted from him. Therefore, you have not contracted anything either.

Kissing DOES NOT transmit HIV anyway.

However, if you find that you want to be sexually active, always use one condom and follow the directions on the box precisely. If you decide not to use condoms, you AND your partner should be tested for all sexually transmitted diseases before engaging in unprotected sex.

Please educate yourself on how HIV is and is NOT transmitted- that way you will save yourself from unnecessary fears and worries in the future.

Good luck with your relationship. You do not need to define yourself as gay/not gay etc. Just enjoy your time with your friend. Safely. =)
