Question
respected madam

i am karan, i had protected sex with a prostitute 2 weeks back.i kissed her.i had no bleeding gums or open sore in my mouth.i had unprotected fellatio and had no open sore or cut on my penis.i used the condom properly.

after 1 week after getting up in the morning i had severe stiff neck.i was able to move it leftwards very easily but not rightwards..now after 4 days the stiffness has almost gone and meanwhile no other symptoms of hiv no fever, headache nothing at all.
i read somewhere about viral meningitis. does viral meningitis comes after 1 week of exposure and does it come with just stiff neck or any other symptom also.my neck pain is almost gone away totally.
plz guide me i am really scared..
i just had :
1.kissing with no open sore in mouth.
2.insertive fellatio with no open sore on penis.
3.protected sex with condom on properly.

Answer
You need to see a doctor for any symptoms you have or questions about meningitis etc.

Kissing does not transmit HIV. However, you do not need sores in your mouth- the entire mouth can absorb the virus without sores.

The person performing oral sex is at risk, not the one receiving it.
