Question
I am 24 years old boy,At 12th January 2009, A girl was performing oral sex to me(her mouth and my penis), At the same time ,she had a little ulcer on her lip(like crease), but not seen to be bleed.I think this ulcer can occur in cold weather and insufficient water drinking(for you to imaging),I was done circumcision and no visible ulcer or abrasion on my organ. After that, i was so afraid to get HIV , so, I told her to check her HIV test. so, she go to check at 18th January 2009, results was negative, i also negative.
But i have still doubt on her, so,i asked her history, she told me, she was have sex at October 2008 with her boyfriend, and she told that, she was have already checked at October 2008, results was also negative.
At 6th February 2009, she and I was checked again HIV test, results was negative.but now i suffer Small like lymph node discomfort, cough, sorethroat, and sometime minor headache.
I have tested with Elisa test again at 28th May,2009 ,the results was negative. I was tested in Myanmar and i don't know, This elisa test was an old or 3rd generation test, and can reliable?
Now, am i safe , free from HIV?

Answer
Hello Jason,

Well fisrt of all, The risk of HIV from receiving oral sex, for both a man and a woman, is considered to be very low, and there have been no documented cases of transmission through receiving oral sex. Unless your partner is HIV positive and you have cuts in your penis and she has cuts in her mouth and exchange of blood and fluid.

But that was not the case for you. The ulcer on the lips of your sex partner did not bleed so, there is no chance of HIV transmitted and also, she tested negative. And you also, tested negative. So, i think both of you are safe from HIV.Your symptoms can be a flu or something like that, but not AIDS. I am certain you are safe, no need to panic.

And for the ELISA test, i can not offer much advise for now, i am not a bio-medical person. What you can do is, go to a doctor and talk freely about the test.

Take care and just relex.

Regards,

Gorkey
