AIDS/Risks from Strip Clubs

Question
Hi Kristen,

I am from the Delaware.

I had been to a strip club and took a lap dance. This one dancer went rather overboard and actually gave me a handjob (she actually brought my package out of my pants and started massaging it) for about 7 minutes. While at it, she spit on my package 3 or may be 4 times and spread her saliva all over it. Am I at risk of any STD from this? Also, she was lactating -- I suckled her breasts during the dance and some milk went into my mouth. Could this transmit any STD to me? I don't know what I was thinking at that time, and I did not resist any of this, but I am rather scared now. Could someone please tell me if I am at risk?

Is it possible to get STDs from going to strip clubs in the US? Are there any rules or laws for hiring girls at strip clubs so as to keep such risks at bay? I am very curious.

Many thanks for your time.

Answer
You cannot get HIV from a handjob. Breast milk can transmit HIV but the risk is really to babies who are breastfed repeatedly. I have no idea about "rules" or hiring practices of different establishments. I'm sure that that would be considered an invasion of privacy.
