i had full protected sex with a prostitute 4 and half weeks ago.i kissed the girl and i had no open sores or cut in my mouth.i also had unprotected fellatio but i did not have any open sores or cuts on my penis.but i am happy that the intercourse was fully protected and the condom did not break at all. 1 week after exposure i got up in the morning with a stiff neck.i want to mention that night i slept on the floor and which i sometimes do, not everyday.the neck was very stiff but only when i moved my head rightwards.i could turn my head leftwards very easily.it lasted for 5 days then went away.now it has been 4 weeks i never had any fever, sore throat, swollen glands, head ache, muscle pain or joint pains, vomitting nothing at all.i am just totally fine.
sir i have heard that one gets flu like symptoms..can only a stiff neck for 5 days be a symptom because i never had any other symptoms of ars and i always felt fit even when i had stiff neck (never felt tired).
i also want to mention that the day i had stiff neck i had so much anxiety that i have started beleiving i hav hiv and i think about hiv about a million times in a day.
thank you
Answer Dear Karan,
Thank you for the question.
I can assure you that you do not have AIDS/HIV. It takes years for the HIV to be an active disease. And as you have mentioned, you had protected sex with the sex worker and the condom did not brake and you had no open cut in your skin. So i think you are safe.
The symptoms you are having can be any thing but not AIDS, stiff neck can caused by your sleeping arrangement. And your anxiety is causing the panic in your mind, just relax.
