AIDS/Can AIDS be caught this way?

Question
I had to have a "test" done on my legs that basically consisted of the Dr. using what I think was some sort of needle and she touched my legs to see if I could feel it.  I heard her open a package but didn't see anything as I was lying down.  Now I am FREAKED OUT!  I only see one spot on my leg that looks like a poke spot the others where so small they didn't leave marks.  Could I catch AIDS in this fashion?  What if anything should I do?  Thanks.

Answer
Dear Worried:

Peace and all good things to you.  The test you describe is rather standard and part of a good physical testing your peripheral sensation.  The package she opened probably contained a sterile instrument for the test (usually producing a "dull" or "sharp" sensation).  You indeed could not "catch AIDS" from this.

Be well!
