AIDS/Early Testing

Question
Hello Kristen

Being that there is NO cure for HIV-AIDS, is there any advantage to early detection?

Dino

Answer
Yes, there is huge advantage to early detection! The earlier someone finds out they are infected, the earlier they can begin treatment. The later they find out, the more damage has already been done to their body. If people find out early and then start treatment, they can live longer, healthier lives. Some people can even get their viral load down to almost nothing, although they still remain infected.
