QuestionHi, I'm mike from Las Vegas, I have a question, I got a guy, a stranger that I
met at the men's SPA. We were both doing oral sex, that time my pennis has
wound from an allergic reaction from the lube that I was using days ago
when I used to masturbate, the wound coz by irritation maybe,, the wound
around the head was there before and was not completely healed until that
time this guy suck me off, it was just partially healed. Now, if this guy is HIV
positive and the duration we have oral sex is around 3hours, am I going to
get infected?
AnswerHi Mike,
You are more at risk of contracting an infectious agent if he had poor dentition with bleeding gums or had oral ulcers. As he performed oral sex on you, he is at more risk of contracting any STIs you may have had due to an open lesion/ulcer.
It is still recommended that you practice safe sex at all times, even with oral sex by placing a condom on prior to your partner performing oral. An STI screening for common infections should be done soon. If you have any signs of swelling, pain, or discharge in the area of the lesion or have signs of pain, discharge, or inability to urinate, please contact your physician immediately. An HIV test is recommended 3 months from the sexual encounter to rule out any transmission of HIV.
