Question
Dear Terry,

3 months have passed, i just went for my blood test today. But i am still very worry, for the pass few days my face is feeling warm but when i take my temp it's normal, even in an air condition room it still feels warm but there's not muscle ache, joint pain or even enlarge lymph nodes. Is this by any chance a symptom of HIV? I am really confused and worry.

Thank you and i am very worry about this.

Answer
Dear Aaron:

Peace. I am not clear if you have the results of your HIV antibody test - that is really the only way to determine if you are HIV infected.

Looking for flu-like symptoms (how some people remember early symptoms) is more likely to produce anxiety than any helpful indicator of HIV status.  Statistically, your chances of contracting the flu are much greater than your risk of contracting HIV.

Please meet and discuss your test results in face to face conversation with your health professional or counselor.

The very best to you and yours.

Terry
