Question
Yesterday I was with a prostitute. She put my unprotected penis in her mouth for 1-2 minutes. I realizing that this is unsafe, put condom on my penis without cleaning the salavia from it. She did the fellatio with condom. I think the salaiva doesn't transmit HIV. But I am worried about the salaiva left on the penis inside the condom while the fellatio was being performed by her. My question is whether I am safe from HIV. I didn't see any blood from her mouth. My penis has been circumcised. Please tell. She was having some skin problems.

Answer
Dear Dravid (David?):

Peace.  Saliva does not transmit HIV, although it can transmit other infections.  Using the condom reduced your risk and hers from you.  I recommend you discuss your situation with a counselor and have testing to know your own status, as well as be informed and equipped to reduce your risk in the future.

The best to you and yours.
