AIDS/Home Tests

Question
Hello Kristen

I would like to get your opinion about HIV/AIDS home tests that you can get off the internet? Do you have any recomendations?

Thanks
Dino

Answer
The FDA has only approved one type of home testing kit-but it only allows blood to be drawn at home. The sample then has to be sent off to a lab for the tests to be run. All other tests are not recommended. I would actually recommend going to your county health department because there you can get counseling and the testing is free!
