Question
WHo is the Longest Living HIV Positive Person? I beleive it was my brother who was diagnosed 25 years ago and just died recently in a car accident.

Is there any record of this????

Answer
Dear Crystal:

Peace and condolences on the loss of your brother.

There is some difficulty answering your question because HIV testing hasn't been around as long as HIV (1930's per estimates from researchers at University of Alabama -Birmingham) and not all persons infected receive documented medical care.

That being said, I would point you to www.cdc.gov - the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, www.thebody.com, and also toward the World Health Organization and UNAIDS as places with data to help your research.

Best to you - and let me know what you find out!
