AIDS/Risk of contacting HIV

Question
QUESTION: What is the risk of contacting HIV when i sucked a woman Vagina that last had unprotected sex sixteenth(16) months ago, and tested negative eight (8) months ago. she didn't come i.e. release vagina fluid and i didn't swallow my saliva, i used water to clean my mouth using my fingers after the encounter.

ANSWER: Dear Samuel:

Peace.  As you seem to be aware, vaginal secretions (fluids that lubricate the vagina), along with semen, blood, blood products, and breast milk, are the fluids that transmit HIV.  If you were tested for HIV eight months after your exposure to those fluids, and the results were negative, you can be quite certain that you were not infected with HIV as a result of this encounter.  If I misunderstood, and it is the woman who was tested eight months ago, I would recommend that you speak with an HIV/STD counselor and be yourself tested for your own peace of mind.  Your described actions (her not releasing a gush of fluid is not uncommon) suggest you were exposed to less of these potentially infectious fluids than you might have been; while this reduces your risk somewhat, I would still consider this a risky encounter and significant exposure.

Again, please seek out a physician or counseling and testing center, and confirm your health status for your peace of mind, safety, and that of your loved ones.

Sincerely,

Terry

QUESTION: Thanks for your quick and precise reply. after three days of that encounter as indicated in my first question. i was eating a chicken part when i feel an abnormal pain like in my upper Lip, the next day been the fourth day i brushed my mouth and later discovered a small tiny wound at the upper lip, it is very tiny that you have to look closely to see it, though there is not any sign of blood around it. my questions are;

1. could it be the chicken part that caused it?
2. could it be that the brush i used that morning is the caused?
3 Could it be , the tiny wound was there before the Oral Sex, if yes, is there possibility of me contracting HIV , incase the woman is positive?

Answer
Samuel:

Your risk of contracting HIV from oral sex is very low, and while your risk would increase with an open wound in your mouth, the risk is still very low.  As I suggested earlier, rather than worrying at length, please talk with your physician or testing counselor.

Sincerely,

Terry
